The founding of Bonham dates to back to 1837, when Bailey Inglish built a two-story blockhouse named Fort Inglish about 2 miles (3 km) from the current downtown. Inglish and other acquaintances settled here in the summer of 1837 and named the settlement "Bois D'Arc".
Constantine Masonic Lodge was Chartered from the Grand Lodge of the Republic of Texas on Nov. 3rd, 1840. Five years before Texas became a State in December of 1845. Our founding Lodge members included Dr. Daniel Rowlett and James S. Baker.
In 1888 Constantine Lodge members laid the Cornerstone of the Fannin County Courthouse. You can still see the Cornerstone on the northeast corner of the Courthouse.

We provide instruction on how important dental health is and provide our local Elementary School First Graders with toothbrushes, floss and toothpaste.

DID YOU KNOW? - Our Masonic Fraternity Brothers and appendant organizations founded, built and continue to provide funding for Shriners Hospitals for Children, Scottish Rites Hospitals and Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
