Constantine Masonic Lodge #13

5th Oldest Masonic Lodge in Texas

The founding of Bonham dates to back to 1837, when Bailey Inglish built a two-story blockhouse named Fort Inglish about 2 miles (3 km) from the current downtown. Inglish and other acquaintances settled here in the summer of 1837 and named the settlement "Bois D'Arc".

Constantine Masonic Lodge was Chartered from the Grand Lodge of the Republic of Texas on Nov. 3rd, 1840. Five years before Texas became a State in December of 1845. Our founding Lodge members included Dr. Daniel Rowlett and James S. Baker.

In 1888 Constantine Lodge members laid the Cornerstone of the Fannin County Courthouse.  You can still see the Cornerstone on the northeast corner of the Courthouse.

Community Involvement

Our Fraternity serves the Bonham area and Fannin County communities by donating our time and money to:

  • Local Health and Charities
  • Widows and Orphans in need.

Fantastic Teeth Program

We provide instruction on how important dental health is and provide our local Elementary School First Graders with toothbrushes, floss and toothpaste.

The Masonic Fraternity is global. We are men of all religious faiths and races. We are committed to serving our community and each other as Brothers.
